Scaling Go-To-Market Execution to Support Growth and Acquisition

OnShift, a workforce management SaaS platform serving post-acute, senior living, and healthcare providers, was experiencing rapid market adoption but needed to scale its commercial organization to support the next phase of growth. 

While the product was resonating strongly with operators, the company required greater enterprise selling capability, improved go-to-market rigor, and a more repeatable approach to revenue growth to meet aggressive expansion goals. During this critical phase, I was tasked with strengthening the North American sales organization, advancing enterprise deal execution, and building the processes required to scale revenue predictably. 

I did this by refining ICP focus within large post-acute and senior living operators; elevating enterprise sales strategy and coaching; and implementing disciplined pipeline management and forecasting practices. These efforts contributed to scaling the business to approximately $28M in ARR, improving sales consistency and execution, and ultimately positioning OnShift for a successful acquisition by ShiftKey.

Transforming Strong Technology into a PE-Ready Revenue Engine

Concerro, a healthcare staffing and scheduling company, specializing in open shift management, was not meeting its revenue objectives. While the company had strong technology, the sales organization lacked a defined approach to engaging and working with prospect organizations. It required greater sales discipline and the ability to focus on, and close, enterprise opportunities. 

During this critical phase I was tasked with defining a North American go-to-market strategy; correct the performance of an underperforming sales team; and, achieve the company’s revenue objectives. I did this by introducing a clear ICP targeting strategy; implementing a defined sales process, that included structured pipeline management that improved forecasting accuracy, and tripling the number of closed enterprise opportunities. 

These changes helped accelerate the overall performance of the entire sales team, improve deal quality and predictability, and ultimately positioned Concerro for a successful acquisition by Francisco Partners.

From Regional Turnaround to Global Enterprise Scale and Strategic Exit

Vital Images, a leading provider of advanced medical imaging visualization and enterprise software, was facing inconsistent regional performance and increasing competitive pressure in the U.S. market. While the company had strong technology and a respected brand, certain sales regions were underperforming and the overall go-to-market effort lacked the consistency and discipline required to scale. 

I was initially brought in to turn around a low-performing region, where I rebuilt the sales approach, refocused account targeting, and improved deal execution. Following that success, I was asked to lead U.S. Sales, where I standardized sales processes, strengthened enterprise account management, and accelerated revenue growth across North America. 

As the company expanded globally, I was then tasked with leading Vital Images’ strategic partnership with Toshiba, working closely with Toshiba headquarters in Japan and coordinating commercial efforts across multiple international markets. This global collaboration strengthened Vital’s market position, expanded distribution, and enhanced enterprise credibility, ultimately contributing to Vital Images’ successful acquisition by Toshiba, creating a strong strategic outcome for customers, employees, and investors alike.

These results reflect VitalPath Advisory’s ability to increase enterprise value by correcting underperformance, scaling U.S. revenue, and managing complex global partnerships, all while preparing a healthcare technology business for strategic acquisition.
